The Friends of Waddow
Imagine Waddow without mountain
bikes, canoes, archery range, grass sledges, tree climb, low
ropes and even furniture in the dining room! These are just
some of the things that Friends of Waddow have helped to
fund. Started over four decades ago, Friends of Waddow raises
much needed money to provide additional activities and resources
for Waddow
Hall.
There’s so much more that we would like to provide – and with
your help, we will.
- For a minimum donation of just £10 per year, you could become a
Friend of Waddow.
- For just £30 per year, your Unit, Trefoil Guild or Division
could be a Friend of Waddow.
- And for a one-off donation of just £250, you could be a Friend
for life.
And… you don’t have to be a member of Girlguiding to
join. We accept applications from school groups, youth groups,
Scouting members, businesses – anyone who has enjoyed spending time
in the beautiful surroundings of Waddow Hall and would like to make
a difference to its future. We’re also very happy to help you
provide that extra special gift – a gift of membership to Friends
of Waddow.
Flowers only last a week, membership can last a
lifetime. Your subscription helps to develop activities,
residential and training facilities - in fact, the whole
estate. As a Friend, you will receive an annual newsletter
keeping you abreast of developments across the site, together with
the opportunity to attend the Friends of Waddow AGM and weekend
held in July.
